Frequently
Asked
Questions

What is your availability? We offer a variety of online and phone availability (no in-person at this time) from mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Your schedule is important to us, so we will do our best to accomodate your needs.

Is in-person counselling more effective than virtual? Studies reveal that online therapy is as effective as in-person therapy, however, it is definitely a personal preference.

Do you accept insurance? Yes! While we do not direct bill for extended benefit plans, you can submit the receipt with my license number for reimbursement, which is a relatively quick and easy process. I am also a registered service provider for ICBC and CVAP clients. If you are unsure about your benefits, we encourage you to call your insurance provider and confirm you have coverage for Registered Clinical Counselling (RCC).

How many sessions will I need? Every client is different, with different needs for the amount of time they wish to see their therapist. The usual transition in frequency is weekly, to bi-weekly, to monthly, and eventually as needed.

What is your confidentiality policy? Our Intake and Consent form covers these details, which you will read and sign before our first session. In general, any information shared within our sessions is strictly confidential, unless you consent for us to share it with a third party, or there is imminent harm to you or someone else, including unreported child/elder abuse.

What is your social media policy? We do not communicate with, or contact clients through social media or networking platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc., however, we do actively post here!
